Simply Sinatra offers a unique opportunity to enjoy some of the sensational songs made famous by Frank Sinatra.
This all music, all melody presentation traces Ol’ Blue Eyes career from the early big band days through to the swinging ‘50s, with an exciting programme drawn from the famous “Songs For Swinging Lovers”, “In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning”, “Come Fly With Me” and other top selling Capitol albums.
Nick Dawson - a brilliant young singer /pianist - a graduate from the Royal College of Music - has been a lifelong devotee of the Sinatra magic.

Nick, however, realised that to clone his hero would be counterproductive and he has succeeded in carving his own niche in the music world. While he takes Sinatra’s timing and phrasing as his inspiration, the result is pure Nick Dawson - and that is something worth hearing.
Most artistes offer excellence in one only area – and as a vocalist, Nick is first class. But as a jazz pianist he is second to none, possessing a phenomenal technique, inspired by such legendary figures as Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington and Oscar Peterson.
Presenting almost a potted history of 20th Century popular song, “Simply Sinatra” spotlights the music of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heuson. A high spot of the show, which has been playing at festivals up and down the land is Nick’s solo rendition of the greatest of all bar room ballads, “One For My Baby”.
Drummer and bandleader John Petters has a long pedigree in the music business, having recorded with many top American Swing stars. He is a powerful and driving drummer in the style of the late Gene Krupa, but like all good musicians he understands dynamics and can accompany the most sensitive of romantic ballads with subtly and finesse.
John and Nick have collaborated on a number of top selling CDs, including the highly acclaimed “’S Wonderful”, the Gershwin Centenary album and Swinging Down Memory Lane.
The line-up is completed by a first class ensemble, which guarantees swinging music of the highest calibre, which will send your audience away with a bounce in their step and song in their hearts
